A LITTLE TOO LITTLE, A LITTLE TOO MUCH
December 7 - December 19, 2023
Evans said the exhibition is the product of reflection on their life as a child, teen, and young adult told through a series of photos. A family matter that led to a change in where Evans and a younger sibling were to live led to them questioning what home really is.
“My younger brother Logan quickly became both a reflection of myself visually and metaphorically as he is a constant in my rediscovery of home and an anchor both in this work and in my world. As he becomes his own individual in this new house, he has a better relationship with the area, as it has become an actual home for him,” said Evans.
Through this exhibition of black-and-white photography, Evans said this is a visual representation of the family dynamic and the experiences they both have had in that space.
"Using film photography to emphasize the passing of time and distortion of memories, ‘A Little Too Little, A Little Too Much’ is about making a new home space through exploration.”
Exhibited concurrently with Inspired 9.
